Greater Fort Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival 2022

This year I had the pleasure of attending multiple events throughout the week for the Greater Fort Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival. This festival is a premier culinary event in Broward County, presented by Visit Lauderdale and benefiting Joe Dimaggio Children's Hospital. Below are the events I attended to get you excited for next year's event taking place January 9 - 15, 2023!

January 10, 2022 - Chef Sazon's Pasta Making 101 Class at Culinary Convenience. This class hosted by Chef Sazon taught us how to make our own homemade pasta! We learned how to make different pasta shapes, fresh pasta sauce, and enjoyed a glass of wine with the Chef. Chez Sazon also hosts monthly cooking classes - visit his website here for more information.

January 11, 2022 - Fulvio's House Party at Sardelli's Italian Steakhouse. Fulvio's was one for the books! It took place in the private dining room on the 3rd floor of Sardelli's with Italian favorites served family-style. Everything that Chef Fulvio makes is a 10/10 so we left with a full and happy stomach. I'm still thinking about the eggplant parmesan to this day.

January 12, 2022 - Cocktail Confidential presented by the Fort Lauderdale DDA at Rooftop. This spirited affair had light bites and featured three different signature cocktails featuring Frankly Organic Vodka, Ghost Tequila, and Hirsch Selected Whiskey. The "Laudy Love" was my favorite! This cocktail was handcrafted with ghost tequila, jalapeno, basil, citrus, and dry curacao - it was spicy but delicious!

January 14, 2022 - Poolside BBQ Battle presented by the Fort Lauderdale DDA at Hyatt Centric Las Olas. BBQ is one of my favorite foods so this was a fun one for me. We tasted over a handful of different BBQs and the judges chose the "Best BBQ" winner at the end of the night. It is no surprise that Chopped Champion, Ed Randolph, from Handsome Devil BBQ took the trophy home!

January 15, 2022 - The Grand Tasting at Las Olas Oceanside Park. This is always my favorite event of the year. With over 45 different vendors you get to taste a wide variety of food and beverages throughout the day. There are also multiple cooking demonstrations and live music that are fun and informative to watch. This is one event you don't want to miss so make sure that you get your tickets before they sell out again! (Tickets will be going on sale soon).
